May 21th 2000 , a rallye paper exclusively for women was organized
by Al Zaher, where 70 ladies between 21 & 40 years of age participated,
by driving 30 cars. The track points were: Al Zaher- Zarif area, as
a starting point - downtown - the Kuweit embassy- the Golf Club- Jamhour-
Souk-El-Gharb- Jisr El-Kadi- Beiteddine- Damour- Jnah and then back
to Al Zaher.
The main goal, of this rallye, was not only to cover all the cited regions the fastest way possible, but also to foster the participants culture about women's rights and to stress the important role of women in society. Three well-known ladies, in the jury committee were asked to check the right answers and to name the three winning cars. A cocktail party followed, in the gardens of al Zaher. Prizes were distributed in the most joyful atmosphere. The event was
sponsored by both Libancell & Terranet. It was decided that
the Rallye would be a regular event.
