The Social Welfare Institutions in Lebanon together with the Secretariat- General of the Arab Philanthropic Conference organized on May 14 & 15 a workshop & a seminar under the topic "management of philanthropic institutions".
The seminar took place in Zaher, the General Headquarters of SWI, on the occasion of the arab philanthropic week.
Many NGOs responded to the invitation and participated in the event, among whom representatives from Egypt, Sudan, Mauritania, the United Arab Emirates,Kuweit,Syria and Lebanon.
Experts in the management of philanthropic institutions presented studies that aimed at attaining a better administration in social organizations.
Papers presented were under the following topics:
-New means of strengthening social institutions from inside
-Employing scientific means in planning and preparing projects
-Using technology in managing philanthropic institutions
-Managing philanthropic institutions between classical and modern concepts
-The role of information and its influence in the management of philanthropic institutions
-Stengthening philanthropic institutions and their role in modernizing society.
